This work engages the playful visual language of Florida through bold color, symbolic imagery, and stylized composition. A palm tree operates as a central structural framework, dividing the image into layered scenes of leisure, desire, and projection, while recurring motifs—fruit, water, sky, and the reclining female figure—reflect Lazarus’s broader investigation of how pleasure is both lived and culturally constructed. As in her larger practice, landscape and the body merge to reveal how attraction, fantasy, and identity are shaped through visual culture.
