Mutual Power is an ongoing series of paintings about how energy moves between people, relationships, and the systems we create together. The figures are tree-bodies—female and male forms fused with branching structures that serve as both physical frameworks and symbols of connection.

Trees in these works are not simply trees. They are connectors, shaping how we see ourselves, how we relate to one another, and where we feel we belong. The shared color coding represents different types of human energy: orange for outward force, blue for return and feedback, and gold for awareness.

The series unfolds as a progression. Structure establishes the network. Transmission follows the movement of energy. Feedback considers what is returned and what is withheld. Alignment explores what becomes possible when individuals remain themselves while becoming part of something larger. Emergence examines the growth of self-knowledge and trust. Continuum, the final painting, will consider what sustains connection over time.
